During our visit to Milipol Paris, one trend stood out clearly: security is becoming digital at high speed. The number of booths dedicated to detection systems, analysis platforms, intelligent surveillance and automation continues to grow, reflecting a sector in full transformation.
But despite this technological rise, one element remains just as essential:
the human factor.
The strong presence of uniforms, tactical equipment and sidearms shows that, even in 2025, it is still agents, technicians, police officers and operators who intervene directly in the field.
And for these teams to work safely, the physical protection of buildings remains indispensable.
Digitalisation is advancing, but security still relies on robust physical barriers
Digital systems help detect anomalies faster, analyse behaviour or trigger alerts.
However:
- an access point remains a vulnerability,
- a technical room must remain impenetrable,
- a reception area must be continuously protected,
- and certain critical zones require certified bullet-resistant protection.
In other words: data may circulate in the cloud, but risks still pass through doors, partitions and reception areas.
Physical protection was less visible at the exhibition, but it remains essential in real-world infrastructures
This year, purely physical solutions were less numerous at MILIPOL. This is not a sign of decline, but rather proof that this segment demands a high level of expertise and relies on strict certifications.
In practice, operators of critical infrastructures still require:
- burglar-resistant doors, frames and partitions (CR2 to CR5) and bullet-resistant solutions (EN 1522–1523),
- protected control zones,
- reinforced technical rooms,
- secure modules that can be installed without major construction work.
These are precisely the needs we encounter every day in the field.
Metal Quartz solutions: certified physical security for access points and reception areas
Metal Quartz products are designed to meet the technical requirements of sensitive environments. They are intended for security engineers, real-estate managers, design offices, specialised architects and operators of critical networks.

a) Burglar-resistant doors and frames (CR2 to CR5)
Our products provide high mechanical resistance, tested according to standardised break-in methods (manual tools, crowbars, heavy tools).
Typical applications:
- police and justice facilities
- administrative buildings
- exposed public spaces
- critical industries and warehouses
- logistics sites with regulated access
RC compliance ensures measurable, reproducible and comparable resistance from one project to another.
b) Bullet-resistant solutions (EN 1522–1523)
Our bullet-resistant solutions cover a wide performance range:
FB4, FB5, FB6, up to FB7 and AK47 depending on the configuration.
They are used for:
- sensitive reception desks and service windows
- protected waiting areas
- interview or hearing rooms
- supervision rooms
- zones where the public and staff are in close proximity
c) Combined performance: burglar-resistant + bullet-resistant
The core of our expertise lies in multi-certified joinery, capable of combining:
- burglar-resistance (CR)
- bullet-resistance (FB)
- acoustics
- fire resistance
This combined performance is essential in critical infrastructures where a single barrier must address multiple threats simultaneously, without multiplying construction layers.
d) Architectural compatibility and clean integration
We do not handle the integration of access-control systems themselves (badges, readers, etc.), but our products are designed to accommodate the equipment selected by integrators without any loss of certification.
This allows technical teams to maintain their own control architectures while relying on a truly resistant physical envelope.
Bunkerkit solutions: secure, bullet-resistant and burglar-resistant modules, assembled in just a few hours
Bunkerkit solutions address another category of needs: the rapid creation or transformation of secure spaces without requiring heavy construction work.

a) Self-supporting modules, deployable without heavy construction
The panels can be assembled cleanly, without dust, and with minimal operational interruption.
Ideal for:
- adding a control post,
- securing an existing technical room,
- compartmentalising a sensitive area,
- protecting a room containing critical equipment.
b) Certified bullet-resistant and burglar-resistant performance
Depending on the configuration:
- bullet resistance FB4 to FB6,
- burglar resistance CR2 to CR5,
- acoustic or other options depending on the project.
These performance levels provide protection comparable to a traditional reinforced room, but with unmatched flexibility.
c) Reusable, movable, scalable
Unlike a fixed construction, a Bunkerkit module can be:
- dismantled,
- moved,
- expanded,
- reconfigured according to evolving risks.
This makes it a highly valued solution for industrial operators, public administrations, critical network operators and constantly changing logistics environments.
MILIPOL 2025 showed where the sector is heading: more data, more analysis, more automation.
But the reality on the ground still relies on three inseparable pillars:
- Detection (digital)
- Intervention (human)
- Physical resistance (certified infrastructure)
Without the third pillar — physical protection — the other two immediately lose effectiveness.
Whether through Metal Quartz multi-certified doors and frames or through Bunkerkit secure modules installable within a few hours, structural protection remains the foundation that enables people and technologies to operate safely.
